These square lamp caps are made from pressed brass to suit four sided lamp shades. You can tin them and apply the patina of choice. A lamp cap is attached by soldering it to the top of your newly constructed shade, ensuring that it is perfectly horizontal. The larger ones have vents to better release heat generated by the light globe.
