These solid brass vented lamp caps are made from cast brass and have been finely polished. These caps have a designed pattern of heat vents to better release heat generated by the light globe. A lamp cap is attached by soldering it to the top of your newly constructed shade, ensuring that it is perfectly horizontal. They look beautiful simply left as brass.
