your account

Before using some of our website's features we ask you to register an account with us. Your account is used to store your personal details and preferences and is protected by a password of your choice. We never share, sell or otherwise misuse the personal information you provide. See also: privacy and security.

registering and signing in

Our website will ask you to register or sign in when you: check out from our online catalogue; save your shopping cart or lightbox; or visit the "your account" page.

Register with us by using the "new customers" form on the "sign in" page. There we ask for your name, email address and a password. Your password should be easy to remember but not too short – six to eight characters is ideal – and can contain lower-case and upper-case letters, numbers and symbols. On future visits sign in to your account by using the "returning customers" form on the "sign in" page. There we ask for your email address and the password you chose during registration.

If you forget your password enter your email address into the "returning customers" form and select the "resend password" button – it'll be emailed to you in a few minutes.

To sign out of your account use the "sign out" link at the top of any page, or just exit your web browser program.

keeping your details up-to-date

You can review and update the personal details you've provided to us on the "your account" page.

To update your details make the appropriate changes using the forms on the "your account" page and select any of the "save details" buttons. See also: "a note about email addresses" below.

We don't currently have an online facility to change your password or to delete your account but if you contact us with your request we can update our records manually.

ensuring you receive our emails

From time to time, emails that are sent from our website end up in customers' junk or spam email folders causing confusion about password reminders, order confirmations, and newsletter deliveries.

You can ensure that emails from us land in your inbox by adding the domain to your email program's "safe senders" list. A page with instructions for lots of email programs is maintained by Constant Contact.

a note about email addresses

Each account registered at our website requires a unique email address. This can cause two particular problems: not being able to register as a new customer if your email address is already registered; and not being able to change your email address on the "your account" page to one that belongs to another account.

In either of those cases the solution is to sign in as a returning customer using the problem address – you can have the password resent – then review the details on the "your account" page and make any appropriate updates.
